Ummm…

Came across this in another blog (now lost in the random pathways and copy/paste episodes of my life).

Brilliant in concept, but dismal in execution.

Frankly, I can see why the letters were rejected - they’re boring.

Agreed. The letters were dull. I’d much prefer the rambling incoherent letters newspapers receive - the actual, handwritten letters with its microscopic penmanship and single spaced, no paragraphs style. It’s quite entertaining. I’ve seen it before.

Well, I have seen the on-line equivalent.

God, I hate it when I am at a site I like and click on a link to find that it is boring. Close the link and find out that I have closed the site that I liked.

dontcha hate it when that happens?

PS Of the few letters I have written to editors, they have all been printed.

Even the one I wrote to Newsweek.

Well, if someone can show me how to create a link that opens in a new window, I would be somewhat grateful.

Blogger comments won’t support it (target=”_blank”). It probably will work in posts, however (haven’t tried it).

Bite - if you’re using a relatively new version of IE or Firefox, right click and open in new tab. Takes care of the problem.
