No change in the political climate will ensue from this announcement. On the other hand, there will be significantly less melodrama.

You’ll be missed, Belinda. I guess buying Chrysler (err…I mean “spending more time with your kids”) is more fun than running a country. Pays better, too.

    That would seem to signal the end of even a glimmer of interest in Canadian politics — at least on the part of anyone not intending to run for office or paid to lobby them.

    Dunno fuck-all about her politics, but who cares?
