So…How Are We Doing?

Technologically speaking, I mean. In North America, I mean. Pretty well, right?
In fact, we’re behind and falling behinder.
I’m having a bit of trouble understanding why the desktop computer still exists, other than that it’s more difficult to steal.
In five years, I’ll be able to do all of my work on a Blackberry-like device from anywhere in the world. So, I, too, will be able to sit in Istanbul, sipping my coffee, smoking my hookah, and feeding stray cats, and be paid for it.
